• # privacy policy

    this policy explains what information we collect (and don’t collect) when you use (1) the chonkyapp mobile app (the “app”) and (2) the hexeosis.com website (the “site”), including the store.

    short version: the app is designed to work without accounts and without collecting personal data from you. the site and store may collect standard web information needed to run a website and process orders.

    ## 1) what we collect in the app

    ### no account + no direct data collection (v1)

    we do not require you to create an account. we do not ask for your name, address, phone number, or precise location in order to use the breathing features.

    we do not sell your personal information.

    ### purchases

    if you buy premium in the app, the purchase is processed by the platform you downloaded the app from (such as apple app store or google play). we do not receive your full payment card details.

    platform providers may collect purchase and device information under their own privacy policies. you can review those policies on their sites. (for example, apple’s app store privacy information and google play’s data safety information.)

    ### support emails

    if you email us (for example, support@hexeosis.com), we receive whatever information you include in the email (such as your email address and message content). we use that information only to respond and provide support.

    ## 2) what we collect on the website (hexeosis.com)

    the site is hosted on squarespace. like most websites, it may collect certain information automatically such as:

    - IP address and device/browser information

    - approximate location (derived from IP)

    - pages viewed, referring/exit pages

    - cookie or similar identifiers used for site functionality and analytics

    squarespace uses cookies and analytics tools to provide and improve its services.

    ### store orders

    if you buy something from the store, we (and our service providers) may collect information needed to fulfill your order, such as:

    - name, email, shipping address (for physical goods)

    - transaction details (what you purchased, order status)

    payments for the store are processed by third-party processors (such as stripe). we do not receive your full payment card number. stripe has its own privacy policy describing how it processes payment information.

    ## 3) how we use information

    we use information to:

    - provide and operate the app and site

    - process and fulfill store orders

    - provide customer support

    - prevent fraud and abuse

    - maintain security and reliability

    - understand basic site performance (for example, which pages are used)

    we do not use app data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell personal information.

    ## 4) sharing

    we share information only as needed to run the app/site and fulfill orders, including with:

    - hosting providers (e.g., squarespace)

    - payment processors (e.g., stripe)

    - app distribution platforms (e.g., apple / google) for in-app purchase processing

    - service providers who help us operate (only as necessary, and under appropriate safeguards)

    - law enforcement or regulators when legally required

    ## 5) cookies and choices (website)

    the site may use cookies and similar technologies. depending on your region and site settings, you may see a cookie banner or have browser controls to manage cookies. squarespace provides tools for cookie and privacy settings.

    ## 6) data retention

    - app: because the app is designed not to collect personal data (v1), we generally don’t retain app-specific personal data.

    - support emails: we keep support emails as long as needed to respond and maintain reasonable records.

    - store orders: we keep order records as needed for fulfillment, accounting, and legal obligations.

    ## 7) children’s privacy

    the app and site are not intended for children under 13. we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

    ## 8) your rights

    depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. if you contact us, we’ll respond within a reasonable time.

    note: for purchases made via apple or google, those platforms control certain purchase records and account data. you may need to contact them directly for some requests.

    ## 9) security

    we use reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

    ## 10) changes

    we may update this policy. if we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date above and post the updated version here.
